Floral Delivery Time

We offer same day delivery service for most orders in Canada placed prior to 1:00 PM  Monday to Friday and before noon Saturdays in the destination time zone.  Flowersender.ca does not offer Sunday delivery service.  There are some circumstances in which an extra day for delivery should be allowed for:

  • Remote or restricted access regions in Canada where same day delivery, weekend delivery, or peak holiday time delivery simply cannot be guaranteed.  It can be difficult to understand and quantify the business hours during these times, of the various vendors in operation in our National Network.
  • If the event that an arrangement calls for an exotic or less popular flower type where availability is limited.

Scheduling Delivery Times

Flowersender.ca will do everything we can to ensure that specific delivery times are possible.  Although we can often guarantee the date of delivery, specific times can be tricky due to variables such as the environment, timing of order, and schedule of member vendor who is filling the order.  Under these circumstances, it is possible that the recipient may be contacted by the local florist who is creating and delivering the order.

Although Flowersender.ca makes every effort to ensure that deliveries are made on time, there are occasions where the recipient is simply not home.  For this, most industry florists follow general guidelines such as:

  • At residences, the practice is generally for the deliverer to leave a note or card asking for the recipient to contact the shop in order to coordinate a second delivery attempt.  In rare cases, the item is left in a secure place on the property where delivery is taking place.  It is possible that the delivery shop will hold the order until it hears back from the recipient on a reliable delivery time and date.  This is done to avoid excessive delivery costs incurred due to repeated missed deliveries.
  • Where businesses are concerned, delivery is attempted for the following business day.

Remote Area Delivery

Our static delivery rate applies to the vast majority of the Country, however there are remote or rural areas in some locations that may require additional shipping charges or that may hinder the local flower shop’s ability to deliver same day, or on the weekend.  In the event that this is the case, you will be notified.  If you have any questions prior to your order, feel free to call (888-402-8555) or email us (flowersender.ca@gmail.com) at your convenience.  We would be happy to answer any questions that you have.
